CONVIERTO PRIVACY POLICY Effective Date: July 30, 2026 Last Updated: July 30, 2026 Convierto is a macOS media conversion application developed by Barcala Studio ("Barcala Studio," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how Convierto handles information when you use the application. 1. PRIVACY SUMMARY Convierto is designed to process media locally on your Mac. - Convierto does not require or create a user account. - Convierto does not collect or transmit personal information to Barcala Studio. - Convierto does not upload your video, audio, image, logo, subtitle, metadata, or converted files to a server. - Convierto does not include advertising, behavioral tracking, third-party analytics, or marketing SDKs. - Convierto does not sell, rent, or share user information. 2. MEDIA FILES AND LOCAL PROCESSING When you select, open, or drag files into Convierto, the application accesses those files only to provide the features you request. Processing takes place locally on your Mac. Depending on the selected feature, Convierto may locally inspect or process: - Video and audio streams; - Image pixels and transparency; - File names, formats, sizes, dimensions, durations, frame rates, sample rates, bit rates, and channel information; - Embedded metadata and cover artwork; - Embedded or user-selected subtitle tracks; and - Conversion and export settings chosen by you. This information is used only to display file details, prepare previews, estimate outputs, and create the requested converted files. It is not sent to Barcala Studio or any external service. Convierto may create temporary or intermediate files while processing media. The application attempts to remove these files when processing finishes, is cancelled, or fails. Operating-system behavior or an unexpected termination may temporarily delay cleanup. 3. FILE AND FOLDER ACCESS Convierto uses the macOS App Sandbox and requests access only to files and folders you select or authorize. The application may request read and write permission to: - Read media or subtitle files you choose; - Save converted video or audio beside the source file; - Save image or logo exports to a selected location or the Desktop, depending on the feature; and - Reveal a recent export location in Finder. Convierto uses security-scoped access provided by macOS. It does not scan unrelated files or folders. 4. INFORMATION STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR MAC Convierto stores limited information locally to support app functionality: A. Recent Export History Convierto may store up to 10 recent export entries. An entry can include: - Export date; - Export category, such as Video, Audio, Image, or Logo; - Number of exported files; - Output folder display name; and - A macOS security-scoped bookmark used to reopen that folder in Finder. You can remove this list by opening Convierto Help, selecting History, and choosing Clear History. Clearing the list does not delete exported files. B. Authorized Output Folders Convierto may save macOS security-scoped bookmarks for folders you authorize. These bookmarks allow the app to save future conversions to the same authorized locations without repeatedly requesting access. They remain on your Mac in the application's local preferences. C. Working State Imported media and conversion controls are not restored as an online account or cloud workspace. Source media is not copied into permanent private app storage for collection by Barcala Studio. Removing Convierto and its local application data removes locally stored app preferences and bookmarks. Exported files remain wherever you saved them until you delete them. 5. METADATA Convierto may read metadata embedded in a file so it can display information or preserve metadata in an output when you request that option. It may also remove or omit metadata when you select a format or setting that does not preserve it. Convierto does not harvest, profile, or transmit file metadata. You are responsible for reviewing metadata in exported files before sharing them. 6. NETWORK ACCESS, ANALYTICS, AND ADVERTISING Convierto does not use a network service to perform conversions. The application does not include its own analytics, advertising, tracking, crash-reporting, or cloud-processing service. Convierto may write technical error messages to the local macOS unified logging system for troubleshooting. Convierto does not transmit those logs to Barcala Studio. macOS manages the storage and retention of system logs. 7. THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE Convierto includes third-party open-source media components, such as FFmpeg, libvpx, Opus, libwebp, SwiftLAME, and LAME. These components run locally as part of Convierto's media-processing features. They are not used by Convierto as analytics, advertising, tracking, or cloud services. License information for bundled third-party components is available inside the application. 8. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE Because Convierto does not transmit or collect your media or personal information, Barcala Studio does not disclose that information to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties. Files you export remain under your control. If you share an exported file using another application or service, that application's or service's privacy policy applies. Apple may independently process information related to downloading, purchasing, updating, or diagnosing apps through the App Store and macOS. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and settings. 9. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION Barcala Studio does not maintain a server-side Convierto account or database containing your media or app activity. Local recent-export entries and saved folder permissions remain on your Mac until you clear the applicable history, remove the app's local data, or uninstall the application. Converted files remain in their saved locations until you delete them. 10. SECURITY Convierto uses macOS security protections, including App Sandbox restrictions, user-authorized file access, and the hardened runtime. No method of software operation is completely risk-free, but Convierto is designed to minimize access to user data and keep processing on the device. 11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY Convierto is a general-purpose media utility and is not directed specifically to children. The application does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users. 12. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES You control which files Convierto can access and where outputs are saved. You may: - Stop using the application at any time; - Clear Recent Export History from Convierto Help; - Delete converted files in Finder; - Manage applicable file and folder permissions through macOS; and - Remove Convierto and its local application data. Because Barcala Studio does not receive or maintain Convierto user data on a server, there is normally no server-side personal data to access, correct, export, or delete. 13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY We may update this Privacy Policy if Convierto's features or data practices change. The revised policy will identify a new "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be reflected in the policy made available through the application, the App Store product page, or the official support location. 14. CONTACT For privacy questions about Convierto, contact Barcala Studio through the support contact or support website listed on Convierto's App Store product page.
