miroVideo PRIVACY POLICY Effective date: July 16, 2026 Last updated: July 16, 2026 miroVideo is a local video player for macOS. This Privacy Policy explains how miroVideo handles information when you use the app. SUMMARY miroVideo does not collect, transmit, sell, share, or use your personal information for advertising, analytics, tracking, or profiling. Your videos, subtitle files, playback activity, and saved queue remain on your Mac unless you independently share them outside the app. INFORMATION miroVideo ACCESSES miroVideo accesses files only when you choose them through the Open Video control, drag and drop them into the app, or add them to the Video Queue. These files can include: - Video files you choose to play. - Subtitle files you choose to add. - A matching .srt subtitle file located next to a video file, if miroVideo detects one with the same base file name. miroVideo uses this access only to play the selected media and provide related playback features. It does not upload these files or their contents to a server. LOCAL DATA STORED ON YOUR MAC To restore your experience after you close and reopen miroVideo, the app may store the following information locally on your Mac: - Video Queue file references and macOS security-scoped bookmarks for files you selected. - The last video being played and its playback position. - Playback preferences, including volume and the Play Next Automatically setting. - Locally prepared playback files in the miroVideo cache when a video requires local preparation for playback. This information remains on your device. miroVideo does not send it to us or to any third party. HOW TO REMOVE LOCAL DATA You can remove saved queue entries and related playback state by clearing the Video Queue in miroVideo. You can also remove the app and its local data through macOS. Prepared playback files are temporary cache files stored locally and may be removed by macOS or when the app clears its cache. If you want to remove every local miroVideo cache file manually, delete the contents of: ~/Library/Caches/MiraVideo/PreparedVideos Removing or moving an original video or subtitle file from your Mac does not send or expose it; it may simply make that item unavailable to miroVideo. NO DATA COLLECTION, TRACKING, OR THIRD-PARTY SHARING miroVideo: - Does not create user accounts. - Does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, identifiers, payment information, or diagnostics. - Does not use advertising, analytics, tracking technologies, or third-party advertising SDKs. - Does not sell, rent, disclose, or share your personal information or media files. - Does not transmit your media files, subtitles, queue, or playback history to external servers. NETWORK USE miroVideo is designed to play files stored locally on your Mac. The app does not require an account or an online service to play your local media. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY miroVideo does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app does not collect personal information, there is no personal information to review, correct, or delete from our systems. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY If miroVideo's privacy practices change, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when the related app update is released. The revised effective date will appear at the top of this policy.
