readMeNow turns PDFs you have the right to use into a private reading, listening, and study experience with your data kept on your device.
Import PDFs from the system document picker, or drag one or multiple PDFs into the Mac app. Navigate pages, search text, select passages, choose a light, dark, or time-based appearance, and return directly to marked pages when you need them.
readMeNow looks for a PDF outline and analyzes contents pages, headings, and text structure to propose chapters. You stay in control: rename, merge, split, reorder, add, or remove chapters before listening.
The dashboard preserves the current chapter, book progress, marked pages, listening time, estimated total time, and file details. Saved books retain the chapter, page, text position, selected voice, rate, and pitch for the next time you return.
When a document has no selectable text, readMeNow identifies that OCR is needed. At your request, on-device Vision can recognize scanned pages for chapter analysis, reading, highlighting, and narration without uploading the document.
readMeNow has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or iCloud synchronization. PDFs, extracted text, progress, highlights, recordings, and transcripts remain on your device. Use the app only with documents you have the right to access.

Private by design
Reading content and history stay local. Optional Kokoro narration provides curated English voices on compatible Apple-silicon devices after a one-time model download, never uploading your documents.
